APO + YouTube = Digital Roll Call!
No more struggling to see, straining to hear or long hours at Opening Ceremonies. Make roll call unforgettable this Convention with the “APO Roll Call 2008” group on at http://www.youtube.com/group/apo2008boston.
Each chapter is asked to submitt a 30 second YouTube video to the group. Rules and instructions can be found here.
All brothers are welcome to view these videos at their leisure and, of course, vote on them! While the ratings each submission receives will not determine the recipient of the Roll Call Award, we will be awarding other prizes based on these results. Final determinations for the Roll Call Award will be made at convention with the help of our anonymous judges.
Good Luck!

Click here to view the flyier for the blood drive. In order to maximize the units of blood collected. the Red Cross has asked everyone to pre-register (you can still donate without a reservation on the day of the blood drive). Also, during legislation, if a delegate needs anything a note to SERVICE can be written and the request will be filled to the best of our ability and if we are able. Shifts are 1 hour; deliveries are made between 9am and 11am and the legislation session. Menus will be provided to take orders as well as act as invoices. The amount of volunteers needed is based upon the location they will be monitoring during the morning session. For the legislation session, 10 volunteers per shift will be needed.
Can Tabs: A collection of can tabs to be donated to the Ronald McDonald House. Jugs will be located in the service room.
AIDs Ribbon Making: Making the ribbons that will be sold throughout the convention. All supplies will be provided. The National Braille Press is just a 5 to 10 minute walk from the hotel. There will be two different shifts; the first shift is 1pm to 3pm and the second shift is 3pm to 5pm. It is a great way to get to know brothers from all around the country and possibly win a prize! Note: This is not your typical “speed dating.” You are not coming to make new romantic relationships, you are coming to make new friends and meet fellow brothers!
Boston Tea Party:
Have you ever wanted the chance to speak with brothers about Executive positions in their chapter? The pledging process? The brother experience? Then come and enjoy an old fashioned Boston Tea Party! It will be set up for three different APO groups: Executive Board Members, Brothers, and NIBLES (Newly Initiated Brothers Lacking Experience). There will be a set of questions set up for each type of group to learn something to bring back to your chapter. For example, NIBLES will meet to talk about the things they liked and disliked about their pledging semester, Executive Members can get new ideas of things that work or do not work for each position, and any brothers can talk about their overall experience with APO!
